Who processes the data

The data controller is Associazione culturale inPrimis – APS, president Francesco Zambelli, via Ferramola 7, 25121 Brescia – Italy

Which data we use and why

  • Sign-up. If you sign up, we keep your username and email address to let you log in and to send you the link with which you choose your password. Legal basis: performance of the service you request. You can delete your account at any time from the My account page. Accounts that are created and never used are deleted after 7 days.
  • Daily limits. To count the cards created each day, for people who aren’t registered we keep a code (hash) derived from the IP address, not the address itself, until the following midnight. For registered people we keep the number of cards created during the day. Legal basis: legitimate interest in protecting the service from abuse.
  • Article addresses. When you create a card, our server reads the page of the article you indicate to get its title and image. We don’t keep the content that was read.
  • Spotify search. If you use the search for songs and episodes on Spotify, our server sends Spotify the text you search for, without keeping it, and your browser loads the covers from Spotify’s servers, which may thus receive your IP address. Covers and titles belong to Spotify and their authors.
  • Saved styles. If you’re registered and save a style, we keep on our server the name of the style, the colours, the font, the text at the bottom, the site you indicate, and the logo, font and closing audio for videos you upload (the logo is re-encoded, at most 600 pixels; the font and audio are kept as they are). If you use the advanced editor and save a slideshow, we keep the texts and settings of its cards; the backgrounds you upload (up to 10) are re-encoded as JPEG, 1600 pixels at most. They are visible only to you and are deleted when you delete the style or your account. For people who aren’t registered we save nothing. The logo, font, audio and images must be yours or used with the permission of whoever holds the rights (for fonts, under a licence that allows web use).
  • Latest sites searched. If you’re registered and search for the latest articles of a site, we keep in your profile the address of the last 10 sites searched, to offer them again next time. You can delete them with the “Dimentica” (Forget) button and they are deleted together with your account. For people who aren’t registered we keep nothing.
  • Short links. If you shorten an address with the site’s service, we keep the destination address and the number of clicks on the link. If the site is connected to andiamo.li (a service run by the same controller, with its own privacy policy), the destination address is sent to andiamo.li, which keeps it with the click count; your IP address is not sent.

Photos, logos and texts you upload

The logos, photos and texts you choose or write in the tool stay in your browser: they aren’t uploaded or saved on our server, except for the logo, font and closing audio you choose to save in a style (see above). The images and videos you download are yours: remember to have the rights to use the photos of the articles.

Cookies

The site uses technical cookies: those of WordPress needed for registered users to log in and, if you choose a language other than the default, a cookie that remembers your choice (it lasts one year). It also uses analytics cookies set by Matomo, described below. It doesn’t use profiling cookies. The site’s font is loaded from our own server.

Web Analytics with Matomo

This website uses Matomo, an open-source software for web traffic analysis. Matomo uses cookies to analyze how users interact with the site. The information generated by the cookies regarding your use of the website (including your partially anonymized IP address) is transmitted to and stored [on our server / on the service provider’s server]. The IP address is anonymized immediately after processing and before being stored, which prevents the direct identification of the user. Data collected via Matomo is not shared with third parties.
  • Data processing is based on our legitimate interest in optimizing our online offerings and the structure of the website (Art. 6, para. 1, letter f of the GDPR).
You can prevent the storage of cookies at any time by adjusting your browser settings or by using the opt-out feature provided below: You may choose to prevent this website from aggregating and analyzing the actions you take here. Doing so will protect your privacy, but it will also prevent the site owner from learning from your actions and creating a better experience for you and other users.

Your rights

You can ask for access, rectification or deletion of your data by writing to [email], and you can delete your own account from the My account page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority.
